Description

The THOREAU JOURNAL QUARTERLY was published by the Thoreau Fellowship of Old Town, Maine, from 1969 to 1981. 49 issues were released in all. These last remaining extra issues were recently uncovered from long-term storage, and full sets of the journal are available. Unfortunately, some of the issues are in such low supply that at least five of these issues will be COPIES, not ORIGINALS. In other words, you will receive all 49 issues, and the majority of those will be the original publications. The QUARTERLY was an eclectic mix of literary criticism about Henry David Thoreau and poetic tributes to him. Maine is also a primary focus of the articles. Look through these issues, and the 1960s and 1970s will pop out at you. Ah, those were the days! INCLUDED WITH YOUR BID: selected existing copies of the Thoreau Fellowship newsletter, a single-sheet edition that appeared at regular intervals during the same time span. Though 31 of these newsletters were issued, you will receive as many originals as possible (probably 15, at least). Here's your chance to own both of these hard-to-find publications.
