Ed Schofield -- Tour of Walden Woods Ecosystem

Item Number: 133
Time Left: CLOSED
Description
Get ready for an all-day hike of Walden Woods with Ed Schofield, Ph.D. The tour will focus on the boundaries of the "Walden Ecosystem"--Walden Pond, Walden Woods, Baker Farm, and outliers--from an ecological perspective. Slides and documents (primarily maps) will be provided, as well as an afternoon lunch for up to 4 people at the Thoreau Society provided by Mike Frederick.
At an additional charge (for expenses only), Ed recommends taking a train ride from Lincoln to the Concord Depot for a minimal fee, along the Boston/Fitchburg line that was built the year before Thoreau moved to Walden Pond in 1845. Ed also recommends chartering a small boat on the Concord/Sudbury River. The high bidder will discuss these arrangements with the donor.
Special Instructions
Offer good for up to 10 people and expires on December 31, 2008. Offer may be extended if agreed to by the donor.
To be arranged at the mutual convenience of the donor and the bidder.
