ABOUT JUNIPER RIDGE WESTERN WILD PRODUCTS
Welcome to Juniper Ridge where you will find a wide assortment of high-quality, sustainably wildcrafted products from the mountains and deserts of the West. This is a small business - I mean really small, as in when you call, I'll answer the phone and probably ship out your order. That's good for you, because it means you're getting incredibly unique, high-quality products that you won't find anywhere else and the best customer service possible. Being small also means I can stick to my principles of taking care of my employees (all three of them right now!) and giving back to the wildlands that mean so much to me.
Since all the items we sell are wildcrafted (i.e. made from wild harvested plant material), I go to great lengths to ensure that nothing is harvested in a way that adversely impacts the plants. Everything I'm doing and everything this business is about is pointless if the plant communities are adversely impacted. As such, I make every effort to ensure that the plants used for products in this catalog are harvested in a sustainable and responsible manner. I also donate 10% of my business profits to groups that help defend western wilderness (see page 26 for a listing of some of these groups). Wilderness is at the heart of what is important to me in my life and I will gladly pledge to donate money and time to help protect it.
Happy Foraging,
Hall Newbegin
