Dick was initiated as a freshman into the Eta Theta Chapter at the Texas Tech University. He held the offices of Pledge trainer and President. His first convention was in Houston, Texas in 1981.

He served various volunteer positions for the Southcentral Region as a District Director and as Alumni President for Texas Gulf Coast Alumni chapter. He was elected as Vice President of College Chapters and Expansion at the 1996 convention in Washington, D.C. He served 2 terms.

In 2003 he served as Chapter Advisor for the Eta Theta chapter for 2 semesters until he moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. He helped reactivate the Beta Tau chapter at the University of New Mexico. He joined the Foundation Board in 2004.

Professionally, Dick is the General Manager for Clearwire for the Central Texas Area covering Waco to Killeen. He has a 3 1/2 year old son name Sean and a yellow lab name Duke. He loves sports, camping, woodworking, and traveling. He is also a member of the Killeen Rotary.
