Description
Hand carved and painted Miniature Mourning Dove by Rosemary Lamanna. It is 8 1/2" in length composed from cedar wood, hand carved and painted with acrylic paints. Great for someone who loves birds but does not have much space to display them.
Rosemary has been involved in creating art in different forms for 30 years, but recently became interested in carving as her major hobby. She is one of a few female carvers that have been lucky enough to work with David Rhodes who has won many awards throughout his career. She participated last year in the Ward Museum Chesapeake Wildfowl Expo, and enjoyed the experience working with a very mixed group of carvers. She is an Atlanticare Regional Medical Center nurse who graduated from ACCC 17 years ago and is happy to give something back to the institution that started her career.
