I have spent many hours in my life outdoors, beginning as a child walking in the woods and along the riverbanks of Illinois where I grew up. It is from my deep love for the natural environment that my woodcarving has evolved. I†strive to unveil the living creature that I see in the wood so that others may share my appreciation of the beauty and value of nature. Much of my work has been displayed at the N.W. Barrett Gallery in Portsmouth, most recently as a featured artist for their Essays and Estuaries show. When not carving or restoring old barns, my time is spent with my family on our farm in South Berwick, Maine.
