Since graduating from Yale University with an MFA in 1963 Don Lent has had 14 solo exhibitions throughout the country, including the Esther Bear Gallery in Santa Barbara, California, Maine Coast Artists in Rockport, Maine, and S.U.N.Y. Gallery in Binghamton, New York. Two exhibitions, one at the Walker Art Gallery, Bowdoin College in 1967, and the other at the Treat Gallery at Bates College in 1971, were accompanied by illustrated catalogues and essays by Marvin Sadik (Bowdoin) and Philip Isaacson (Bates). Numerous group shows include the Grolier Society, New York; the Barone Gallery, New York; the New York Public Library; Harvard University; Graham Horstman Gallery, Denton, Texas; Long Beach State College, Long Beach, California; and Martin Village Gallery, London. Don has taught at the University of California at Santa Barbara, Bowdoin College, the Boston Architecture Center, and at Bates College where he was Dana Professor of Art and Chairman of the Art Department.
