Khristine received her BFA from the University of Southern Maine and has worked in the media of alternative photographic processes and sculpture for twenty-five years. Her current work is in encaustic (meaning to burn in), a process that dates back to ancient Greece. Working with molten beeswax and pigment, Khristine is now creating work which draws on her history of photography and sculpture in a new and exciting way. She is a former board member of the Ogunquit Art Association and is a current artist member. Her work has been shown in numerous shows in New England and beyond. The two pieces for the GWRLT auction are from the Mavros Pouli series, which will be shown in its entirety at the Barn Gallery in the summer of 2008.
