This beautiful piece of American-made furniture is something of a mystery. One thing is certain - it is old, dating from the Victorian era.

A nursing or sewing chair, it has hand caning on the seat and back. Very nice spindle work on the headrest.

Original wood may be oak, maple or walnut. Stain is goldeny red (and probably more recently applied).

Measures 34 inches high.
