Description

The Summary by Position in the 1949 football facts book describes  the quarterback position this way. "Biggest question mark...It's almost a cinch that an inexperienced sophomore will be running the '49 Wildcats' offense...The loss of Blanda left a big hole to be filled, especially in the kicking and passing departments...Bryant is depenidng on a great prospect, Babe Parilli, to fill hte gap with help from Dom Fucci, the only letterman in this position" and the comment on the center who gets the ball to the quarterback it was written that "Capt. Harry Ulinski should be a great performer."

This media guide, about 44 pages, prepared by the UK Sports Publicity Office in 1949 contains information about the Wildcat team and its coaching staff, led by head coach Paul "Bear" Bryant, an analysis of the upcoming season's games and thumbnail sketches of the student-athletes.
