The 1962 Football Facts book is dedicated to S.A. (Daddy) Boles, who was University of Kentucky Athletics Director for 17 years as well as football coach in 1917 and basketball coach in 1918. Boles was credited for maintinaing many of the statistics used in the annual preparation of UK's football and basketball facts books. 1962 is also the year former assistant coach at Kentucky and Alabama,Charlie Bradshaw was hired as head coach.

This media guide produced by the UK Sports Publicity Office in 1962 contains information about the Wildcat team and its coaching staff, led by head coach Blanton Collier, an analysis of the upcoming season's games and background briefs. This book is addressed to and signed on the cover by Helen King, director of the UK Alumni Association at that time.
