Charlie’s first big win was The Kentucky Derby Balloon Race in 1977. Since then, he has competed internationally and has won many honors and competitions.

Charlie has entertained many celebrity passengers throughout the years. One of the most pleasant experiences was taking the mother of President Carter, Miss Lillian, for a ride.
