Description

Enjoy a memorable evening of Domaine Serene wines and hearty hors d'ouevres for twelve people at Vincent a Restaurant in downtown Minneapolis. Your hosts, Breck parents Shannon and Mark Evenstad, will provide a horizontal wine tasting of five world-class Oregon Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays from the family Oregon vineyard, Domaine Serene. Chef Vincent Francoual will provide delicious French fare to complement the wine, and winery owners Ken or Grace Evenstad or another representative of Domaine Serene will conduct the tasting (based on availability and a mutually agreed upon date). Food & Wine, noting the superb pinot noirs and chardonnays out of Oregon rivaling those from California, described 2005 Domaine Serene Clos du Soleil Chardonnay as "a lush white offering nuanced, complex flavors of fresh-baked brioche and green apple." Mutually agreeable date. Wine & Spirits Magazine notes "Domaine Serene 2002 Grace Vineyard Pinot Noir [is] Grace itself.  This wine is a testament to how beautiful pinot can be:  beautiful in its composure, in its seamless elegance.  While ample and ripe, the wine keeps its balance.  Delicate kirschwasser aromas and raspberry flavors gain complexity from a leafy element that feels very Oregonian in expression."  94 Points. Expires April 2009.
