      Description
Without a doubt one of the most stunning costumes from the movie. This black tuille strapless dress is extremely intricate and elegant. The sweetheart neckline, rouched bodice, taffeta skirt, and tuille overskirt with sequined pieces all work together to ensure that this dress is memorable. Initially in the movie, this dress is worn by the Night Nurse (Eileen Atkins) when she is standing high on the rocks during the opening scene. Later in the movie, it once again appears as it is used as a prop in current times while Constance and Nina are spending time at their mother's house. They explain that the dress is full of memories for them, and that they would cry every time they saw their mother wearing it because it meant that she was going to go out and leave them. This beautiful dress serves as an important reminder of the themes of the movie itself. The dress will come with a garment bag and the original costumer department wardrobe tag.
Eileen Atkins delivers a very important role as the Night Nurse in "Evening." Her character works with the elderly Ann Grant, to help her move through her memories as she approaches her final hour. A very experienced actor, Eileen has been seen in over 65 films since 1959. Most recently, she was seen in the 2003 Golden Globe nominated film, "Cold Mountain."
