This jaunty carry-all basket comes directly from Ghana on the West Coast of Africa.  Its bright, eye-catching colors are derived from natural dyes and hand woven into a lively stripped pattern capped and supported by straw in its natural state.  The weaver special wrapped the handles in hand-dyed leather to enhance sturdiness for the basket's trip to the U.S. 

The basket stands a little over 12 inches high, with handles adding an additional 6 inches.  Eighteen inches across and seven inches wide, this happy pattern basket will brighten any room.
