This print is 186 from the Limited Edition of 525 by artist Samuel Ingwersen, AIA.  #3 was a pivotal hole in an early match between Marty Furgot & Sam Snead, winner of the 1951 PGA Championship at Oakmont.  As if the course wasn't hard enough, Snead was charged with a rules infraction.  Furgot, who had yet to be down to Snead in their match, filed the protest charging his opponent had illegally cleaned his ball.  Furgot lost in his protest & then his match at #3, the third extra hole, when Slammin' Sammy rolled a 7 footer in for birdie 3.
