Item #46 - Love, by Anne Mimi Sammis

Item Number: 46
Time Left: CLOSED

Description
LOVE - depicting a mother and child - is a celebration of the joy of life. If you see influences of Rodin and Degas in Mimi's sculpture, you're right. Mimi has drawn inspiration from their work, but she also brings her own unique sense of balance and movement to her creations. Mimi's works are available locally at Jessica Hagen Fine Art + Design in Newport and at The Bert Gallery in Providence. You've seen Mimi paint and sculpt on the PBS series, Mimi's Art Studio, produced here. And if you've been to Narragansett Town Beach, you've enjoyed her 21-foot sculpture, DANCE OF PEACE.
Mimi was commissioned by the Archbishop of Canterbury to create an original work, HE HAS THE WHOLE WORLD IN HIS HANDS, for Queen Elizabeth's Golden Jubilee. It's on permanent display in London. Mimi's work is in more than 400 collections worldwide - even being displayed at the United Nations. Don't miss this opportunity to take home a genuine bronze sculpture by Anne Mimi Sammis of Narragansett.
