Description
When porcelain was invented in China it was very plain and utilitarian. Later, Korean potters who knew how to create more colorful porcelain were captured. Their decorative styles caught on and oriental porcelain started to become decorative - a tradition that continues to this day. This Fritz and Floyd trio from Japan features a bowl, a gently tapered pitcher, and an accompanying platter. All are decorated dramatically with calla lilies and lush green leaves, delicately embellished with intertwined swans.
