Description

This original oil-on-canvas shows some of the greats of jazz in the 1960s performing together - Charlie "Bird" Parker on tenor sax, Charlie Mingus on bass, Roy Haynes on drums and Thelonious Monk on the keyboard!

This is an "eyewitness" piece. Bill and Bette Schlosser Baker were a part of the Greenwich Village scene in the exciting era depicted, witnessing first-hand the age of the beat generation and the spontaneous creativity of the jazz immortals they knew in that different place and time. Any fan of great music would be thrilled to hang this work in a prominent place!
