Like so much good art, this original, oil-on-canvas tells a story, in this case of a couple's enduring love. The people portrayed are Bill and Dottie Noone of West Virginia, happily married for 62 years. The artist was inspired to paint Lean on Me when he saw the picture the couple's son Bill snapped off without his parents knowing he was behind them walking together.
