The Colombian-born artist was awarded the keys to the city of Pawtucket for an exhibition of his works at the Blackstone Valley Visitors' Center. Ochoa Olarte works in sculpture and stained glass, as well as oils, as used in this lively original. Pretty Morning features what the artist calls exaggerated colors, a subconscious representation of Colombia's tropical landscape. It's an expressionistic, semi-abstract style which, on closer inspection, also includes such subtleties as the understated signature in the bottom-left.
