Kate was inspired to paint this scene on a "perfect, hot evening this summer." Passing a Victorian cottage that seemed perfectly suited to its surroundings -- and so timeless -- she HAD to paint it! Notice the porch, and beach roses and the kids on windsurfers in the Bay. It's an American summer dream!

Kate lives and works in Newport, and her works hang in homes and businesses coast-to-coast. She has won prizes from Spring Bull and the Greenwich, Darien and Rowayton Arts Clubs -- to name a few.
