Born in Taiwan, the artist was exposed to traditional Chinese brush-stroking techniques early on. Having lived in Argentina before coming to New York and eventually Providence, he has been exposed to diverse disciplines of art. A family physician as well as artist, Zen teaches a course on the healing nature of art at Brown University.
