In-Laws coming for dinner and you want to impress them with your wine knowledge even though you don't have any?  Here is your answer.  These great wines from Merryvale Vinyards will please even the most picky palate.  One bottle is a 2003 Merryvale Silhouette Chardonnay which has a "deep golden yellow color. Marzipan, caramel apples, and cinnamon-brown sugar aromas" according to Tastings.com.  The other two bottles are the 2003 Merryvale Profile Cabernet Meritage which the Chronicle gave three stars and described as "a big, powerful wine, with toasty oak and juniper berry aromas leading to a palate of rich blueberry and blackberry, dark chocolate, vanilla, clove and coffee."  Who needs dessert after these great wines?
