Description
Take a flight back in time on either a newly restored P-51 Mustang or a mint condition T-6 open cockpit trainer with an expert aviator Paul Bestervelt. The T-6 was one of the most important aircraft designs of all time and is universally recognized around the world where many are still being flown in third world Air Forces. The T-6 Texan two-place advanced trainer was the classroom for most of the Allied pilots who flew in World War II. In all, the T-6 trained several hundred thousand pilots in 34 different countries. Though most famous as a trainer, the T-6 Texan also won honors in World War II and in the early days of the Korean War. A pilots airplane, it could roll, loop, spin, snap, and vertical roll. The choice of aircraft is dependent on which plane is available on the day the flight is scheduled.
Special Instructions
Winning bidder must claim flight at the Camarillo Airport in Southern California after scheduling the flight with pilot and owner Paul Bestervelt. There are weight restrictions on both planes. Passenger must be under 200 lbs. for the Mustang and under 250 lbs. for the T-6.
