The Friends of Blaine is establishing a Fine Arts Endowment Fund which will be used to underwrite the fine arts programming at the school. This dedicated fund will be used to help offset some of the expenses incurred by the school.

The following is a list of some of the programs in place and their cost. There may be future program opportunities as well that could be funded by this endowment fund. We hope you will consider a donation to this educational fund:

Suzuki Orff - $28,000

Dance Art - $20,000

Tea Dance (grades 5-8, first semester)

Museum Themed Dance Instruction (Ancient Americas 2007-2008); (grades 1-4, second semester)

Lookingglass Theatre - $15, 000

Drama Residency (grades 5 – 8, second semester)

Merit School of Music (additional music programming)-$7, 000

Art and Archeology of the Southwest (ART)-$6,000 (grades 5 -8)

Assemblies (arts related) - 2 at $350 - $550 a piece depending on the artists; (Entire student body)

As you can see, the fine arts programming is very expensive. During the live auction at Blainetopia we will be asking parents to donate a dollar amount to go specifically to this fund.
