Description

Enjoy two tickets to the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History.

Coming Soon to the Museum:

Hands-On Studio

Investigate the new Hands-On Studio, an ever-changing studio space that celebrates the curious spirit in all of us. Construct a towering structure out of wooden planks. Gently float a bubble on a cloud of air. Paint a masterpiece using wands of light. Each visit is a varied and exciting adventure!

KIDSPACE®

KIDSPACE®, which opened in 1993, is one of the Museum's most popular exhibits, especially with Museum School's® preschool-aged students.

The exhibit provides an informal atmosphere for children and families to play, explore, and learn together. During Museum construction a number of the exhibit's popular components can be found on the lower level of the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame.

KIDSPACE® Components:

KidsBank ATM
The KidsBank ATM offers children the same experience their parents encounter at a cash machine. Children can enter their account number, punch in an amount, and view the transaction on the monitor. Too bad this ATM doesn't dispense real money!

KIDSPACE® Market
Like a typical grocery store, children can select food for the evening meal, be checkout clerks who scan purchases, or play the role of sackers. After they finish shopping, children can even roll their carts across to a "parking lot" and unload their groceries into one of three pretend cars.

Vortex
Like the Museum's popular "Gravity Well," this exhibit demonstrates several laws of motion (gravity, friction, inertia) as children drop balls into the large funnel.

Build-A-House
In Build-A-House, children can learn together through dramatic play and solving problems related to counting, organizing, and creating settings of blocks, and canvas.

Electronic Finger Painting
This computer exhibit gives children their first experience with touch-screen computer technology. Even the youngest children can control the computer through the touch of a finger.

Puppet Theater
This "role play" exhibit features a puppet stage sized for children and a television camera with two monitors so that children can watch themselves and their friends as they perform.
