About Glacier GloveGlacier Gloves were created to help make the fishing experience an enjoyable one year round.  In 1982, The Original Neoprene Glove was developed on the Shores of Pyramid Lake Nevada, where the coldest months provide the best Cutthroat Trout fishing of the season.  November to April the opportunities to catch large Cutthroats with fly rods are abundant with fish often over 10lbs ranging up to 17lbs.  To keep from being cold with temperatures at or near freezing the founder Dick Swan created a neoprene glove that could get wet and still provide warmth while still having dexterity.  In 1999 Dick introduced Dr. Shade, a line of sun protections hats to better protect our customers.  25 years later Glacier Glove has expanded to numerous styles of neoprene gloves, fleece gloves, sun gloves, sun hats and accessories. Among those using our products are Fisherman, Hunters, Paddlers, Ice Climbers, Hikers, Horseback riders, Navy Seals, U.S. Coast Guard, Antartic Expeditions, Mt. Everest Expeditions, U.S. Treasury Department at the 2004 Winter Olympics, and Cycling Teams.
