In 1985, former San Francisco Giant, Rob Andrews, started his own camp to fill a void in the SF Bay Area.  A veteran of 10 years in professional baseball, as well as a former college and high school coach, he organized one week summer children's camps in Concord, CA.   The staff consisted of pro's, college and high school coaches and players, and he also solicited the San Francisco Giants to sponsor and endorse the endeavor. 

Rob Andrews Youth Camp  has grown quite a bit since the early days and is now operated in 7 Bay Area Cities, with 14 camps conducted each summer.  Camp  philosophy is making sure youngsters have a wholesome and fun time, while learning the proper mechanics and fundamentals of the game.   For many, the Camp has become a yearly opportunity to enjoy themselves and improve their baseball skills in a relaxed and less competitive environment.
