Newspaper Reporter/Editor for a Day - Vacaville Reporter.

What a great opportunity for an aspiring writer! Or just because you want to meet all the folks at the Vacaville Reporter.  For you or for your Special Someone.

• You'll report directly to the Vacaville Reporter Editor, Diane Barney.
• You'll receive a tour of the Newspaper, all of its departments.
• Then Mrs. Barney will assign you to "shadow" one of the reporters on staff.
  
• You will watch and learn as they cover and write the stories that will be tomorrow's headlines.
  
• Take notes about your adventure.
  
• You will write a story about your day as a Newspaper reporter/editor.
  
• You will turn it in to the Editor by the end of your "day".
• It will be edited for inclusion in the paper as  the "news of the day" permits. You will receive an edited copy to keep.
• Maybe you'll even get your picture in the paper as Solano Community College Foundation auction winner and aspiring news reporter.
• You will sit in on the editorial staff meeting as they select the stories for print and decide tomorrows headlines. You'll listen and discover how news is "made".
