Holiday Blend 2007

This year's Holiday Blend is destined to be a memorable vintage, crafted of the finest crops of the year, each exquisite enough to be prized alone. 2007's blend has been over a year in the making, and is a rich reminder of our philosophy that no coffee is too fine or too rare to blend. The result is aromatic and full-bodied, infused with floral, malty and chocolaty notes.



Back in November 2006, we visited the lofty reaches of Guatemala Antigua specially to secure a coffee from the highest farm on the Acatenango volcano: a fine, bittersweet chocolate wonder. It is an estate coffee, grown and milled by a family producer in its fourth generation. The family calls this particular farm "The Clouds", as it reaches up to the very limits of coffee production, with only verdant forest and the still-sputtering cone of the volcano above it.



From the balmy tropical earth of Sumatra we sought a rare triple-picked grade of the famed Lintong region. The care with which the coffee is processed is extraordinary—and unusual for this most rustic of origins. This "super grade" of Sumatra is so perfectly, so painstakingly produced that it is one of the best coffees we've tasted this season. The beans are uniformly golden brown and add depth and an almost caramelly sweetness.

For a little added zing, we rounded out the blend with a top East African coffee redolent of berries and citrus. Sprinkled with an extra dose of Holiday cheer, it's a quintessential blend for the holidays, richly aromatic with spiced chocolate notes and a hint of berry sweetness. A joy to produce—we hope you'll find it a joy to drink.

Chocolate Toffee Almonds

Almonds coated in old fashioned crunchy butter toffee made with real dairy butter and a pinch of salt. The almond is then covered in premium milk chocolate and finished with a dusting of powdered sugar. 8 oz.
