Description

The terms Old World and New World are some of the most basic delineations used by sommeliers when blind-tasting or assessing a wine, but what do these terms mean?  And what do they have to do with what the wines really taste like?  Nectar's sommeliers, led by Christina Sports and Executive Chef Jeffrey Lloyd, will unravel the tangled skein of flavors that set the Old World and New World as diametric opposites--opposites that nonetheless show signs of convergence in the wild universe of modern winemaking.

This item is a two hour fun, informative, palate-tempting and decidedly unpretentious tasting of eight wines pitting New World style wines against their Old World brethren.  Each round of wines will be paired with a small, inspired amuse-bouche from Chef Lloyd designed to highlight or contrast with the flavors presented by the wines.  Nectar's team of sommeliers bring their breadth and depth of knowledge to the table as we compare, contrast and savor Old World and New World greats!

Special Instructions
