"The shot heard 'round Metro Detroit"

When the ball left Magglio Ordonez's bat on that cold night in Comerica Park last year, the crisp Autumn air allowed the screams of the fans in Detroit to be heard all the way to the Suburbs. Tigers fans everywhere knew exactly what this meant; our beloved boys of summer were BACK in the World Series!

This 16"x20" photograph is one of the greatest I have seen in my many years. It perfectly captures Maggs' swing as the ball arcs towards the crowd in Left Field. The ball itself is seen in it's flight towards history as the sell-out crowd is leaping to it's feet.
