With parents' involvement, students train in singing, rhythm, harmony, reading music (notes) and recognizing musical patterns by ear. They learn by playing keyboards, recorders and guitars. Ultimately, students perform solo and in ensemble. Training in music can provide a unique foundation for children's mental and physical development. It is shown to improve their developing neural processes, such as the comprehension of abstract concepts crucial to success in mathematics, science and engineering.
