Description
This charming, original oil painting of "Rockport Harbor" was done by RAA Artist Paul Goodnow. It measures 8 1/4"x8" and comes complete in a 22 Carat Gold Frame, Hand Carved by the artist himself.
Paul Carter Goodnow was born in Providence in 1958 and grew up and lives in Lincoln, RI. He was very much influenced by his parents who were both art school graduates – father Gordon from RISD and mother Doris who studied with Charles Gordon Harris.
In addition to being an artist, Paul is the maker of hand-carved gold leafed frames. He studied painting with John Loughlin and Herman Itchkawich, and the art of gilding with Nils Johnson in Boston.
Paul is a member of Rockport Art Association and the Connecticut Plein Air Painter’s Society. Many of his paintings and picture frames hang in private collections.
