Description
Established in 495, the Shaolin Temple (the national Buddism temple,) was titled the "First Temple in the World." Shaolin is situated at the foot of the beautiful Songsham Moutains, 13 kilometers northwest of Dengfeng City, Henan Province, China. The city airport closest to Shaolin Temple is located in Louyang.
Your adventure begins in Beijing with one night in a 5 star hotel. The next morning you fly from Beijing to Louyang. Now you can start your 5 days of intense Shaolin Kung Fu training (including room and board for 2,) at the Shaolin Temple. Your week will end back in Beijing for one night at a 5 star hotel.
Shaolin Kung Fu expresses a belief in, and pursuit of, superhuman strength and wisdom. The fundamental reason Shaolin Kung Fu is so different and miraculous from other martial arts, is the belief to be guided in all things by the heart, and to fight competitively with the "heart". This life altering experience will include personal enrichment by Dr. (Abbot) Shi Yong Xin and a demonstration by Shaolin monks.
Because China has severe weather in winter and summer, a spring or fall trip is suggested.
Special Note: Trip includes 100,000 transferable miles to be put towards airfare to Beijing (airline restrictions apply). The winner is responsible for the flights to and from Beijing to Louyang. 1 night in a double room at a 5- star hotel in Beijing at the beginning and of your week. Reservations must be made 2 months in advance and cannot be guaranteed during the 2008 Summer Olympics. Expires in November 2008. A Chinese visa and a visit to the Chinese consulate are required.
