Description
On May 7th, 2008, the 26th Annual Frederick Law Olmsted Luncheon --- affectionately know as The Hat Lunch will be graced by the presence of you and one of your special friends. To ensure that you are dressed for this stellar occasion, you’ll each be wearing a stylish new suit from the Carlisle Collection, carefully chosen by the discerning eye of MKA parent, Terri Borden and a natural straw Eric Javits hat custom decorated by MKA parent Mary Beth Chase. This delightful sit-down luncheon is hosted by the Women’s Committee of the Central Park Conservancy and held in the beautiful Conservancy Garden. The afternoon, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. includes a guided tour of the Conservancy Garden in full bloom and an unparalleled opportunity for admiring not only the hats, but some of New York’s finest! The N.Y. Social Diary states “The luncheon is legend and now ritual in New York social life. It has replaced the famous Easter Parade in the psyche of social New York. It’s like a mass photo op, everyone in their spring millinery and couture, standing looking at everyone arriving and everyone looking!” Last year’s auction winners had their pictures in the Sunday society pages! Imagine yourself there too
