Send two curious campers to Franklin Lakes for a week! A wonderful opportunity for 7-11 year olds to explore nature's mysteries. Operated by the New Jersey Audubon Society, Lorrimer Sanctuary contains 14 wooded acres with winding trails throughout. Formerly a private estate, the grounds feature a main house, parts of which date to the 1700's, that has a Visitors' Center with an exhibit and lecture room, winter bird feeding station, interpretive displays and hands-on exhibits.
