Description

The American firefighter is a classic childhood hero, demonstrating courage, selflessness, bravery and brawn… not to mention the coolness of having a big red fire truck! If your child dreams of becoming or meeting a heroic firefighter, why not make their dream come true with a private fire station tour?

Thanks to our local heroes at Menlo Park Fire Station #1, up to 20 children and adults will get a chance to see how fire stations operate and how our firefighters live. Fire Station #1 is the main training station and staging point for disaster relief in our area and offers a special perspective on fire fighting and helping others. This unforgettable experience will be tailored to the ages in your group and could include seeing where the fire fighters sleep, eat and exercise, sliding down the pole, shooting a hose, trying on equipment, and of course learning about fire trucks up close. A grass and bench area is available in front of the station if you would like to celebrate a birthday or special occasion after the tour.

Winning bidder to coordinate date and time with Captain Mike Sweeney of Menlo Park Fire Station #1 (corner of Middlefield/Santa Monica)
