Close your eyes and travel back in time to Istanbul...where East meets West.  As you and your friends sail from the Asian side of Anatolia and cross the Bosphorus, you hear haunting sounds of the call to prayer.  Amidst the thick fog, the minarets of Aya Sofya and the Sultan Ahmet mosques gallantly rise up in the sky.  And as you step foot on the European shore, delightful aromas and exotic music welcome you...you’ve arrived at the Topkapi Sarayi, the Palace of the Ottoman Sultans.

Now, imagine this scene as a reality, and in your own home! As royal guests, you and your friends will be treated to a sumptuous feast of the Turkish grand cuisine, beginning with mezes, raki and sharap (hors d’oeuvres, anise-flavored liquor and wine), and continuing with specialties of the Imperial Kitchen. 

Afterwards, the Turkish Ensemble Bulbul (Nightingale) will entertain you with a mosaic of classical and contemporary music, while you enjoy tatli (dessert).  If you wish, the royal tutunji (tobacconist) will demonstrate use of the nargile, also known as hookah pipe.  You and your guests can try it while you relax and sip khave (coffee).

And for the pièce d’resistance, Michelle Beauchamp, the most beautiful belly dancer of the royal harem, will captivate you with her grace and elegance.

As a remembrance of this unforgettable evening, you will be presented with Turkish Delights, a lovely coffee table book, and an authentic nargile.
