The name of this amazing piece is called "Miss Smith's Tribe", as it represents the shaman (teacher) surrounded by her tribe(students). Miss Smith's students painted masks on 5x5 pieces of black paper using acrylic paints.  Miss. Smith embossed a copper mask which lays on top of colorful yarns and is the centerpiece of the artwork.  All papers and mounting tape used were archival.  The shadowbox frame was donated by Art Heads.   Matting donated by Molly Reeves.
