The purpose of my art is to imbue the physical art object with spiritual meaning, …the sense that there is more to life (and art) than just physical presence. Much of my art is built on the statement: “Life is like a meteor, we are here and then we are gone.”   But, no wait! …There’s more!  …We are not gone! …Our spirit endures forever! And this is where my meteor metaphor artwork gets deeper. …the bronze “meteors” don’t burn out! …the oil paintings don’t spontaneously combust! …the drawings don’t catch on fire and turn to ash!  These, then, represent the eternal spirit that remains after the meteor and excitement of physical life is extinguished.   8" x 10"   Oil on Canvas
