Description

The Biale label consistently makes some of the most sought after Zinfandel and Petite Syrah produced in California. The Biale family maintains strong ties with old Italian families in Napa Valley and helps them carry on great wine growing traditions. They then carefully handle this great fruit and craft very unique/limited production wines; only about 350 cases of each wine, with only about 50 magnums, are produced each year. Pair these wines with robust pasta dishes and roasted meats.

Magnum; Biale 2004 Old Crane Zinfandel. Pioneer Dr. George Belden Crane, 1806 to 1898 is known as the "Father of the Napa Valley". This wine was made from Zinfandel vines originally planted in the 1880's. Dark fruit is expressed in the nose and palate; well balanced, with great acidity. Maybe consumed now or cellared for years to more Cabernet like character.
