Richard Notkin is a ceramic artist who works in Helena, Montana. Influenced by the tradition of Yixing pottery, his work is a vehicle for political commentary. His work can be found in the collections of the Racine Art Museum, Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Cooper-Hewitt Museum and the Mint Museum of Craft and Design among others.
Notkin is also one of 30 clay artists featured on the recent documentary series, Craft in America.
