Steve Rys is a graduate of Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, where he studied eastern and western painting methods. He draws on over 25 years experience in commercial, industrial and fine art venues. Steve teaches classes, workshops and gives private instruction.

This work is best viewed illuminated on a white wall for the full effect of the orange glow that is an essential part of this painting. It is a subtle effect that varies with lighting and reveals its presence to the patient observer.
