Audrey Handler's research, ideas and concepts come from her own life experiences. The sculptures are personal statements and universal comments on life. They concern men, women, children, war, peace, family and social situations. Handler likes to use symbolism in her work. The cup represents entrapment, the apple home and the pear life. These sculptures are small worlds and they create a surrealistic time and place.
This glass sculpture is in the form of an apple with pink and gold spots embedded within its walls.
