Held at RAM's Wustum Museum,
2519 Northwestwestern Avenue, Racine, WI
Join nationally reknown jewelry artist, Ken Bova and discover a multitude of resources for idea generation and hands-on jewelry making. Focusing primarily on cold connections and traditional hand tool techniques, play with a variety of forming and linking mechanics using a torch. Create color, collage and a few special fun tools out of hardware and ordinary materials. This workshop will explore creating jewelry with personal content through discussion, impromptu demonstrations and design excercises. Create a small variety of tools, many experimental pieces and one souvenir piece.
Ken Bova is a studio jeweler living in Bozeman, MT, and an adjunct assistant professor at Montana State University. He currently serves on the board of SNAG and his works is in many permanent collections including Renwick Gallery and RAM.
