Description
English teacher and 9th and 10th Grade Dean Greg Monfils has teamed up with some friends to bring you some good eatin' in the comfort of your own home! Get a taste of the South with this Cajun or Creole supper for 8, with recipes coming from classic Southern cookbooks and the chefs' own traditions. The menu includes:
Sazeracs to begin (or other less deadly beverages) - Sazeracs is one of the oldest cocktails and a quintessential New Orleans drink; while there are many different recipes, typically Salzeracs includes some combination of cognac/brandy, rye whiskey, absinthe, pastis and bitters
Stuffed Crab a la Tina (Greg's wife)
Salad with Creole Vinaigrette
Bourbon Bread Pudding
If we can find it, we'll bring Dixie Beer from New Orleans, but you may prefer your own wine selections.
In addition to this fabulous dinner, Urban's Jazz Band Director, Scott Foster, will bring his professional trio to perform live jazz for the party. It's certain to be an unforgettable evening!
