"Know Your Rights" Pizza Party
This item will go to the first 10 students who "buy it now" for $25 each.
Former federal prosecutor and current adjunct professor in criminal procedure at UC Hastings (and Urban parent!) will offer pizza accompanied by beverages and a crash course in street law. Know what to say and do - and what not to say and do - if you are approached by the police in your car, in your home, or while simply walking down the street.
Partygoers will learn their basic Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Amendment rights, view informative ACLU film clips, and be invited to ask any and all questions related to their civil rights as they pertain to search, seizure, interrogation and the right to counsel.
It never hurts to know your rights.
Special Instructions
Limitations: Bidders should anticipate that the party will be two hours long, and will be offered from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on a mutually convenient Sunday evening before the end of the 2007-08 school year.
Location: The winners can choose - either at one of their homes or the home of the donor.
