Description
The remote and rugged McCloud River spills from Mt. Shasta's ancient glacier and is teeming with "native rainbows" and "wild browns." Beautiful in the fall and summer, the pristine McCloud River is a legendary destination for both novice and veteran fly fishermen. This six-day adventure for 14 people includes accommodations at the scenic and magically rustic Clubhouse at the Bollibokka Club, a private fly-fishing camp on the river an hour outside of Redding. Founded in 1904, the club has been open to members only for the last 90 years. The Clubhouse is a stone’s throw from the water and features two houses, a wood-frame house that sleeps 10 with a big porch, and a smaller rock house that sleeps 4. You will be the only guests at the camp during your stay. If fishing isn’t your forte, you can swim in the water, look for arrowheads, play croquet on the large, grassy lawn, paint, hike or mountain bike. It is dark and starry at night, with gas lamps to light your way indoors. Reel in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to enjoy 5 miles of the "best private waters in the Western United States" at this truly special, out-of-the-ordinary location.
Special Instructions
